Why did you choose to work with Preface?
Farooq is a very thoughtful investor who will quickly get deep in your domain, no matter how esoteric it is, so that he can better support you. Plus, he actually rolls up his sleeves to help founders on core operational functions like recruiting and sales.
What did you take from your last experience that informed the birth of Alpha Health?
In my prior role at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), I had the opportunity to dive into the messy guts of healthcare. I worked on investments and investment opportunities into providers, payers, biotech companies and healthcare technology companies. A single common hurdle faced them all — efficiently navigating the financial system of healthcare.
What is the most annoying thing about Farooq (personally or professionally)?
He's too humble :)
