How was this startup experience (Zingbox) different than others?
We have thousands of deployments saving enterprises, and lives in healthcare. Because of our advanced technologies, 4+ years later, we were acquired by security leader Palo Alto Networks as the best solution in the market.
How have non-lead investors supported you in surprising ways?
We are very grateful that Farooq Abbasi started investing in us from early days, he was always there supporting us and believing in us. He went out of his way to help us in multiple areas, including competitive analysis, market research, and recruiting. He didn't have to do any of those at all as a non-lead investor. But because of his great guidance, we found the right market fit early on which led to the ultimate success of Zingbox.
What is one thing you’d want other entrepreneurs to know about Preface?
Finding the right investor is like marrying to the right person, entrepreneurs and investors need to work together through many ups and downs. Connections, expertise, experience in investors all matter, but I think what matters the most is the mutual trust and respect.
